Mill Hall in Newbury Berkshire is a real hidden gem as a wedding venue, its mock tudor facade and oak panelled hall is steeped in history and the grounds are simply beautiful.
Steve & Cheryll booked me back in January to cover their wedding at Mill Hall in July this year. I hadn’t covered a wedding there before and was thrilled to get the opportunity. The ceremony room is magnificent with oak paneling and a huge stone fire place, two beautiful bay windows stretch to the ceiling at the front of the room bathing it in natural light.
The sun shone down all day which made the all important artistic photographs of the two of them a real joy to photograph. Steve and Cheryll where so obviously in love and both smiled big grins all day long, which made photographing them at absolute pleasure.
They had decided to choose me as their photographer because they like the fusion of documentary photography and artistic portraits that is my signature style. They really wanted some beautiful photographs of their wedding to display in their home and I’m happy to report they had many to choose from.
Their wedding day was a truly intimate one and I was privileged that they chose me to be a part of it and capture it for them to look back on for years to come.
