The stunning Grade II* listed building, has a wealth of history attached to it. In the past it has had many uses, including being used as a magistrate’s court, temporary parish church, a canteen, a meeting room for American soldiers during the Second World War, a teaching room as well as the town museum.
The Guildhall has an awe inspiring façade with its cast iron and stone staircase which is a beautiful backdrop for your wedding photographs.
