Here are some of my favorite images which tell the story of this unusual winter wedding day.
Winter weddings can be absolutely beautiful, the low-light, frost or even snow. Its because of these attributes that means they can require some skill to photograph.
I love winter weddings, in fact not just winter weddings December weddings. This I’m sure is due to my own wedding being held on 22nd December, it always brings back fond memories.
For me the low light and Christmassy feel and even Christmas decorations, plus the general good mood of guests because Christmas is on its way, makes it a fantastic time of year to get married.
My last wedding of 2010 was at the beautiful Notley Tythe Barn, it is a fantastic venue especially in winter as it is filled with fairy lights and had a roaring open fire.
A few weeks prior to the wedding I met Paul and Claire at the barn to do some pre wedding portrait photographs. Pre wedding shoots can be a great way of relaxing any nerves you have about having your photo taken and also start the excitement of the wedding day itself.
