Being a Berkshire wedding photographer means that I am photographing weddings at some great venues all over the Home Counties. Last year Vicki & Tony chose me to be their artistic documentary wedding photographer for their wedding this year, which was held at The Donnington Valley Hotel.
Vicki and Tony are a fantastic couple and so so in love, I felt privilege to be a part of their day and capture it all for them. As Vicki walked down the isle Tony bit his lip to fight back the tears of happiness, joy just radiated from the couple all day. You an see in the ceremony photographs just how happy they are, it really was beautiful to see.
They had there whole celebration at Donnington Valley Hotel, Vicki got ready in one of their lovely suites which gave me lots of room to get some documentary photographs of her getting ready. Then I could also nip down to the bar where Tony was doing his own form of “getting ready”.
The ceremony room they chose at the hotel was bright and airy and set away from the hustle and bustle from the main hotel, which made it really intimate. The room itself has windows covering three sides, so for me the the light was brilliant.
One of my favourite artistic images from the day is taken in one of the secluded spots in the hotel that I had scouted out before the wedding day. I took Vick & Tony off and captured some really artistic photographs of them, I always take the bride and groom away from the guests for ten minutes or so to capture some beautiful intimate photos.
On the documentary side of the photographs there are many that I love, but some really make me smile. The registrar has just announced that Vicki & Tony are man and wife, the happiness on Vicki’s face as she is just about to lean in to kiss her new husband is great. What really makes the shot though is her two bridesmaids in the background whooping for joy and waving their bouquets in the air.
