Not everyone wants to get married in a church and with such fabulous venues holding marriage licenses now you can understand why. One venue that certainly has the wow factory for your wedding ceremony, has to be The Guild Hall in Poole. Which is where Aaron & Karen decided to hold their wedding ceremony.
The Guild Hall really is an impressive venue, so light and airy but so beautiful too, an absolute pleasure to photograph.
The wedding ceremony itself was short and sweet. Then Aaron and Karen really wanted some artistic and documentary portraits taken around Poole itself. I always enjoy taking the bride and groom into the public domain, you can get some fantastic images and its a real buzz for the couple, as you get so many well wishers!
On this occasion we had a lot of the wedding guests too as Aaron and Karen wanted them to be involved in the day, which was absolutely fine with me, the more the merrier!
I know how important it is for guests not to feel the bride and groom has disappeared with the photographer, and I know they all enjoyed watching Aaron and Karen having their bride and groom portraits done. Sometimes wondering why on earth I was using the backdrops that I was, all became clear after I had edited the pictures.
I really loved photographing this wedding as there were so many fantastic places to take their wedding photographs. From cobbled streets, to the waterside in Poole, the urban backdrop of Poole museum and then onto the quintessentially English lush green backdrop of the golf course that held their wedding reception.
Alas though, they had to enjoy their wedding reception and so did their guests so I didn’t keep them photographing all afternoon. I’m pleased to report that we did get lots of amazing wedding images for them, which I’m even more pleased to report they love as well!
So here’s a few of the images which will hopefully tell you the story of their beautiful wedding day.
